Proposal for a new corporate design of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (the Theater of Düsseldorf).
The logo is build of the letters D and S, linked by an element in form of a speech bubble, defining the theater as a “voice” of the city and alluding in position and proportion to a quality seal like the registered trademark symbol.
For the posters of the theater two different approaches were developed: a minimalistic design with iconic pictograms and a more figurative design with stage photos overlaid by line drawings adding a second semantic layer to the scenes.
